I am a huge book lover, and have decided that its time to come out from living only within the pages of a book and interact with the world. And I can't think of a better way than by talking (blogging) about my all time favourite series, ever...The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare!
Now for all those people who have only recently heard about the Mortal Instruments let me tell you what you have been missing out on.
There are six books in the Mortal Instruments series, and each one is more exciting and enthralling than the last. The story revolves around 16 year old Clary Fray and her introduction into the Shadowhunter world and her journey to save her mother and the rest of the world from the evils that are Valentine Morgenstern and Jonathon Morgenstern. And who are the Shadowhunters you ask...well they are your good old bad ass demon fighters of course. So with the help of the sexy and arrogant Jace, whip-wielding Isabelle, insecure Alec and nerdy, best friend Simon, Clary sets out to discover who she is and what her future entails.
This is my go-to series. I have re-read these books over and over and over. The best thing about these books is they really suit everyone. This series contains a well thought out plot and is filled with incredible detail, all without getting overly complicated and boring. Cassandra Clare has created a master piece in the Shadowhunter universe. I could probably write a whole book myself on how much I love the dynamics of this series. But I will stop myself before I scare people away.
I absolutely love this series and they totally deserve 5 out of 5 stars.
